David Sparks and Ernie Svenson have been faculty members of the American Bar Association's TECHSHOW for years. They're both attorneys bent on using technology to become more efficient (and successful) lawyers. Nerdy Professionals is a collaboration between Ernie and David to help other lawyers use technology, but in a straight-forward, fun way.
About Ernie Svenson
After clerking for a federal trial judge for two years after law school, Ernest Svenson has practiced commercial litigation (20 years with a large firm and then 6 years as a solo). Along the way he discovered that law practice is largely an "information processing business" and turned to helping lawyers find more efficient ways to process their information.
He has started several blogs, including PDFforLawyers.com, which is about using PDFs in the practice of law. He has a new book, published by the ABA, called "Blogging in One Hour for Lawyers." Ernie also co-founded a Louisiana CLE company called PaperlessChase.com, which teaches lawyers how to get rid of paper and use technology to do a better job for their clients at lower cost and with less stress.
